Answers are free. Saves are not.

Ask Cal anything about agency or lender guidelines and get a cited answer, at no cost, for as long as you like. You pay when a file is on the line: a suspense letter, a competing Loan Estimate, an appraisal that came in light, a condo nobody checked.

The arithmetic

What Cal has to do to pay for itself.

The average first mortgage balance was $387,881 in the first quarter of 2026. At 100 basis points, one closed loan is roughly $3,879 of gross commission. So the only question worth asking is how much of a loan each plan costs you a year.

0.46

loans a year to break even on Solo. One save every two years and it has paid for itself.

0.92

loans a year on Pro. Still under a single file.

$700+

what a typical independent LO already spends monthly on CRM, presentation and market tools.

$0

what the cited answers cost, forever, whether or not you ever pay us a dollar.

Loan balance from the Mortgage Bankers Association, first quarter 2026. Commission at 100 basis points sits at the low end of the 75 to 150 range typical in the broker channel. Your numbers are your own.

Pay for one thing

No subscription required.

Some of this you need twice a year, not twice a week. These are arranged one at a time by email at chris@askcal.io, not on a card.

ROV rebuttal letter

$99 per letter

The appraisal came in light. You get a reconsideration of value packet with the comps, the adjustments, and the agency language that supports the ask, cited and ready to send.

ValueGuard report

$12 per report

A defensible value with a floor, a market number, and a highest defensible ceiling, each rung labelled with what carries it. Included in the plans, priced this way beyond them.

Agent seat

$25 a month, free to 25 clients

Your agent gets affordability, assistance eligibility and a valuation they can hand a seller. Two seats are included with Pro. Agents can also come on their own at $39.

Line by line

What is in each plan.

Before you ask

The questions we get.

Why are the answers free?

Because a guideline lookup is not worth charging for, and anyone telling you otherwise is selling you a search box. What is worth paying for is the hour at the end of the month when a file is about to die.

Is this advice?

No. Cal gives you the citation and the section so you can make the call. You are the licensed originator. Cal is the colleague who already read the handbook.

Can I cancel?

Any month, from inside your account, no call and no retention script. The period you paid for runs out and that is the end of it.

What happens to my work if I leave?

It stays yours. Export everything on the way out. Your lender panel is your lender panel.

Do you sell my borrower data?

No. The affordability calculator does not even hold a database connection, so visitor numbers cannot be stored. That is a design decision, not a policy promise.

Can my whole branch try it?

Yes. Email Chris and he will set up the shop on the shared panel first, so you are evaluating it against your own lenders rather than a generic list.
